In an effort to create candid dialogue about leading sustainable business practices, a panel of stakeholders in the collision repair industry were gathered at the AkzoNobel Sustainability Leadership Conference of 2012. Social, environmental and economic factors of sustainability were explored in terms of potential challenges and possible future successes.
The panel consisted of members from various key sectors of the industry including: Lee Broughton and Mary Mahoney, Enterprise HOldings; Susanna Gotsch, CCC Information services; Randy Hanson, Allstate Insurance; Michael LeVasseur, Keenan's Auto Body; Diana Rivenburgh, Strategic Imperatives; Carl Vincenti, Oka's Auto Body; Mike Sheterkin, AkzoNobel. Deborah Steketee, Ph.D, Associate Professor of Sustainable Business and Executive Director for the Center of Sustainability at Aquinas College moderated the panel discussion.
During the discussion, Rivenburgh points out that, "We need to think in terms of today's best practices and what is the NEXT best practice . How is collision repair changing? Where are we going? We can learn from each other as well as from other industries, communities and cultures."
