Coca-Cola Enterprises (CCE) just launched their latest sustainability plan setting forth the company’s new sustainability vision, commitments and targets.  CCE’s vision states:  “We will deliver for today, growing a low-carbon, zero-waste business, and inspire and lead change for a more sustainable tomorrow.”

The Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) S&P 500 report released on September 19, 2011 reveals that for the first time in the CDP’s ten year history the majority of US companies are reporting strategies for climate change.    The CDP’s report analyzed information from 339 of the largest US corporations and was written by global professional services firm PwC.   Highlights of the findings include:

 

  • Companies with senior executive or board oversight of the corporation’s climate change strategies increased from 68% in 2010 to 87% this year....
